The Situation

This full-service jewelry store located in a charming historic town needed a champion marketing piece to capture the essence of their personal, luxury customer experience. The ultimate goal was to help them reach and appeal to a more affluent client base.

A professional photoshoot was recommended to yield beautiful new images that could be incorporated into the store's website and into a new brochure.

The Solution

Creating Results selected photographer Gary Landsman and his team, known for their work with Washingtonian magazine, to do the shoot in the store. Actual customers were selected as models to add a personal touch, build the brand and encourage word-of-mouth marketing.

In addition, a new brochure was recommened to fully utilize the new, high-impact photography. The new collateral design intentionally emphasized Quinn’s signature colors to enhance brand recognition, creating a consistent, high-quality look and feel.

A small number of the brochures were given to the customer-models to share with family and friends and the rest were handed mailed or handed out at the store.

The Design

The Creating Results team started by tapping into the jeweler’s fun, non-traditional reputation, proposing a concept that rejected stock photography in favor of a custom photo shoot.

The one-day photoshoot captured 25 outstanding images that were then enhanced to add drama.

Dark green tones and gold accents were incorporated into all the campaign designs to reflect colors used in Quinn’s own signature gift bag. The brochure was printed on heavy paper stock with spot UV coating throughout to create a high-end, elegant look. The high-gloss cover features two simple images and a unique tagline that enhances the rich look and feel of the piece.

The Results

Regular customers came in to the store requesting copies of the brochure to share with friends. The client base was engaged in the fun, romantic image of the store. Store owners reported an increase in sales to existing customers and in new visitors to the store.
