Strategic Marketer Shares Tips for Capturing the 50+ Home Buyer

TIPS FOR CAPTURING THE 50+ HOME BUYER

Woodbridge, VA– [January 8, 2008]Need some help converting your prospects to sales?  Todd Harff, President of Creating Results, Inc. (www.creatingresults.com), a full-service, strategic marketing, PR and advertising company, will offer suggestions for “Reaching the Active Adult Through Strategic Marketing” at the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Greater Washington 50+ Housing Council Networking Breakfast on Wednesday, January 16th at the Crowne Plaza in Tysons Corner, Virginia.  Mr. Harff, along with a panel of sales and marketing experts, will share their marketing experience and knowledge of the 50+ consumer and focus specifically on converting existing leads to sales. 

“Given the current challenges posed by the housing market, it’s essential for home builders and their sales and marketing teams to focus on customer follow-up, especially with the 50+ buyer” according to Mr. Harff.  “Our panel will address three areas:  web/interactive, direct mail, and on-site events, all crucial to converting leads to sales.   In this market the obstacles for prospects to make a buying decision are huge.  The right marketing and sales programs make sales happen.”

Joining Mr. Harff on the panel are Kelli Tolocka, Marketing Manager for Winchester Homes; Jodi Leigh, Partner with Hammer Communications; and Fran Barrett, Sales Director for IDI/Leisure World at Lansdowne.  Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by breakfast at 8:00 a.m., and the program beginning at 8:30 a.m.  The event is sponsored by the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association.

According to the NAHB, “With the U.S. 55+ population hitting 85 million by 2014 and half of all households headed by someone ages 55 and older, it's the fastest-growing segment of the housing industry.  Demand for age-qualified housing designed for adults has been growing and is expected to continue to grow.”  The NAHB 50+ Housing Council supports members by providing nationally recognized educational programs, industry research, networking opportunities, specialized publications, awards and recognition programs, and regulatory and legislative assistance to 50+ housing professionals.
