Career Opportunity: Account Project Manager – Remote Locations (Multiple)

Creating Results, a growing full-service strategic marketing and sales agency in Woodbridge, VA, is currently seeking a full-time Account Project Manager on our Strategy & Planning team. Creating Results works with clients who serve mature consumers, with a focus on senior living and 55+ real estate.

The Account Project Manager assists with designated account projects to input clear direction into spec sheets, manage timelines, assignments and schedule updates with our Workamajig (WMJ) project management tool. This role acts as their accounts’ internal advocate to facilitate consistent communication between the Account Service, Creative and Strategy & Planning teams, ensuring all deliverables are in alignment with the agency’s workflow, as well as the client’s overall program schedules and budgets. Additionally, this role maintains awareness of overall project profitability and makes recommendations to stay on schedule by way of assignments and/or task changes. Specific skills required:

Project Management

  • Maintains knowledge of assigned campaign and project workflows
  • Responsible for the consistent, successful facilitation of assigned campaigns and projects within each, from project approval to completion
  • Reviews estimates and scopes of work as it relates to tasks, timing & allocation
  • Owns and maintains approved campaign/project schedules
  • Schedules internal traffic and project status meetings
  • Communicates with internal account team as WMJ schedules are modified significantly throughout execution, when modifications result in additional scope required or major timing changes
  • Works closely with Account Director to ensure marketing plan files are accurate and mirror accurate schedules
  • Participates in regular client-facing meetings for assigned accounts, if requested/budgeted
  • Provides day-to-day project-related internal communication, looping in Account Director as appropriate when conversations escalate to the overall strategy or potential impact of client relationship
  • Manages quality of all client deliverables, performing QA/QC on assigned account deliverables
  • Maintains professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values

Budget Management

  • Manages all assigned account projects on-quality, on-time, and on-budget
  • Ensures vendor quotes align with project estimates, communicating about and coordinating accurate order and vendor invoice entry with team
  • Monitors project tasks’ allocated vs actual hours daily
  • Manages and corrects project overdue and overworked assignments for assigned accounts
  • Proactively catches

Resource and Timeline Management

  • Manages and updates ongoing project schedule assignments
  • Identifies and proactively resolves any deliverables that might fall behind schedule
  • With department leaders, keeps work flowing past bottlenecks through proactivity, decisiveness, negotiation and consensus
  • Organizes, attends and facilitates internal agency traffic meetings with execution team
  • Organizes, attends and facilitates internal account service project status meetings for assigned accounts

The minimum criteria for the Account Manager opportunity are as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e. business management, marketing, accounting, etc.)
  • Agency and/or in-house marketing experience preferred
  • Experience with project management, budgeting or scheduling software required
  • Creative agency, and specifically Workamajig software experience strongly preferred
  • Self-starter and independent problem solver
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment both independently and as a team member
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and comfort communicating with or presenting to internal teams and clients
